Tour Description: Board your air-conditioned transportation and drive through Basseterre, admiring the city’s many restored colonial buildings. Then on into the countryside on the island main road. You will pass swaying fields of sugar cane, which until two years ago had been main industry of the island, for the past 300 years. Continue on to Caribelle Batik Studios, located in secluded Romney Manor Gardens. These lush tropical gardens are a photographer’s dream and perfect for a relaxing stroll. At the batik studio artisans create colorful fabrics using traditional methods.
Enjoy some time to browse the boutique. Its then on to Frigate Bay where you will drive to the top of Timothy hill to get an amazing panoramic view of the Islands South East Peninsular. You will see the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. Our sister island of Nevis is gracefully in the back ground.
