Tour of the Month
A SHORT COURSE ON CARIBBEAN COOKING

Tour Description:
Did you ever want to know what’s in Jerk Seasoning? Are you curious why those Conch Fritters are so tasty? You can find out by coming to a 2 hour cooking show where food, fun and folklore are the course material.

Your Experience:
In this enjoyable morning program, a 30-year veteran of Caribbean cooking will demonstrate the preparation of four dishes while regaling guests with stories, history and little know facts about West Indian cuisine. Dishes will change, depending on the availability of ingredients. However, typical dishes include Jerk Pork, Mango Coconut Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce, Spicy Pumpkin Soup, and Sweet Curry Chicken.

After everything is prepared, guests will enjoy the dishes for lunch. They are welcome to browse through our craft shop of all locally made products. Whether you like to cook or just enjoy eating good Caribbean cooking, this class is for you. When you return home, you can entertain your friends with our new-found knowledge and a few easy, delicious recipes. Copies of the recipes demonstrated will be provided to our guests.

Special Notes: Please note that their location is up one flight of stairs.
